To obtain ANTIQUE EFFECT, we produce brushes with the following filaments :
1) Crimped steel,with different sections from 0.20mm to 0.50mm. 2) Steel cord named LIZ, available in two sections: 0.175/0.25 mm
3) Abrasive nylon in different grits : 46-60-80-120-180-320
For DUSTING and VARNISH SPREADING, we use filaments with a peculiarity, that they are not electrostatically charged while in use :
4) Horse hair
5)Tampico (vegetable fiber), which has also a very light finishing function. | SIT it starting to develop abrasive notched strip brushes, with tampico filaments, which are currently widely used in the sanding of rough and varnishing surfaces.

EXAMPLES OF WOOD BRUSHED | | | CHARACTERISTICS AND VARIABLES IN THE TREATMENT AND FINISHING OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF WOODS | The secret which helps the end users to obtain the desired result on the different types of wood, depends on the following characteristics:
a) Advancement speed of conveyor belt, which carries the profiles that need to be treated.
b) Number of brushes in the series.
c) Kind of filaments
d) Filaments length
e) Winding pitch (for spiral brushes) or pitch between the holes (for punched brushes) .
f) Interference between the filaments and the surface of profile being worked .
g) Brush rotating speed
h) Brush rotating sense: towards or against the profile feed direction | 
| Sit has the availability of a TESTING ROOM with a 4 brushes rustic touch/ brushing machine, produced by a leading Italian manufacturer, and with many different brushes.
This machine, originally manufactured for the superficial working of parquet, has a working tape width of 400mm.
The brushes, bounce mounted, offer the chance to test profiles wider than the 400mm tape width; the max operating height of the machine is 80 mm, therefore this is the maximum thickness of the profiles to be tested.
SIT, BY PREVIOUSLY FIXED APPOINTMENT WITH OUR INDUSTRIAL DEPT., is available with his Technical staff and testing room to help active and potential customers, interested in making brushing tests.
These tests can certainly give significant information to equip with the appropriate tooling/brushes the machinery used in their production process. | TESTING ROOM
