SIT’s origin begins in 1662 with “Craftsman's Workshop for the Production of Paintbrushes". Bought in 1908 by Alessandro Acquaderni the workshop will become ‘Bolognese Paintbrush Shop’: it is the first Italian industrial brush factory.
In 1950 Pietro Acquaderni brought a decisive productive change: he transformed the production into industrial wire brushes; thus was born in 1960 the ’Società Italiana Tecnospazzole’ with a new factory in Casalecchio di Reno (Bo).
Thanks to modern technologies in a few years SIT becomes leader in various industrial sector and hardware markets. In 1995 and 2002 there’s a renovation and expansion of the productive and office area.
The wider factory does strengthen its production with new machineries, new automatic working lines and a larger number of personnel; all necessary steps to keep and ensuring a leadership role in this sector.
